Playroomgirl III: film your soup opera, is the third edition of playroomgirl projecst. First one was hold in Barcelona (Centro de Arte Santa Mónica) and the second one was hold in Mexico City with the financial support of Catalonian and Spanish goverment. Playroomgirl III: film your soup opera are workshops that help girls to understand the basis of art and science. Girls are encourage to film a soup opera and to try out experiements with sound and light. The leader of the family ensemble "Shamshury" is a composer from Murmansk Alexey Shamshura.

In December 1998 the ensemble became a prizewinner of the V International festival of family art, a winner of the Highest honorary title "family is a pride of the planet" and grand prix "Golden Samovar".
Alexey Shamshura wrote several original programmes for small children and schoolchildren to be performed in kindergartens and schools of the city. Two song compilation editions were issued. "Hallo, Sun!" - with the lyrics of Oleg Bundur, poet from the Polar region who writes for children. The songs about Pomors, coast, northern nature, family and friendship. Second - "Saami tunes" - with the lyrics of Saami poet Sofia Jakimovich. The songs about polar nature, about beauty of tundra, about traditional festivals of native residents - Saami. |

Tradition in the Contemporary Design and Art

The main intention of the project is to show the actual existence of the tradition and the effects of folk art on the contemporary art and design in the partner countries. Accordingly we do not intend to organize traditionalist folklore events, but such travelling contemporary art program series that are based on the cultural traditions of the partner countries and at the same time reflect the everyday reality of our world today. First of all we want young artists to participate in the project, because we are interested to know what cultural identity and tradition mean to them, or rather how it appears in their art and their artistic products. We would like to offer a large scope for young artists and inspire the birth of new artistic products.

LOOKING FOR PARTNERS FOR AN INTERNATIONAL PROJECT YOUTH IN ACTION 1.2
HUGO is a youth group involved in a project for children with leukemia. We develop activities to find out their abilities and provide personal development. We are visiting them in the hospitals to get them away from their troubles and cheer them up.
Our main target group is pediatric oncology unit in Dr. Sami Ulus and Dışkapı Oncology Hospitals.
We are looking for 5 to 10 participants who are particularly interested and involved in working with children with leukemia. We want to exchange experiences and good practices related to information and participation with children with leukemia. Changing will take 1 week for both sides of young groups

Hutterite Pottery in Europe
|
Our aim is to create a cooperation between countries, that search the Hutterite culture, art and way of life. During the research our aim is better to understand the cultural and social characteristics of this group: how did they develop, and how could they defend their groups against the many persecutions. Why and how did they work out these unique and high quality ceramic techniques in Europe. How could they maintain the quality and the use of materials as well as the technician conditions during their wanderings. We are not only curious about the explanation of the technical feats, but the power of this fraternal connection, that is able to set an example of human dignity and an artistic peak capacity also in the most difficult situations.
The Hutterites (Habans) originated from Switzerland, (Danmark and Netherland) they wandered through Middle-Europe in the 16th century and after a while they settled in Eastern-Europe, than at the very end moved to North-America in the 19th century. Meanwhile they created typically ceramics mixed with the artistic effects of the host country.
Proposed activities:
- Traveling cross-national exhibitions
The partners would introduce mutually their own collection to each other.
- Research and workshops
Historians, historians of religion, researchers of museums will be involved. We want to deepen the research in the field of Hutterites. We will make workshops for the introduction of the Hutterite technology. Some Hutterite works will be recreated by the work of art copying specialist of the Museum of Applied Arts.
- Art residences and trainings for students
We are planning to organize creative camps with the help and participation of our partners. In these camps we want to work out the modern, contemporary form of the Hutterite style. In this camps everybody could learn Hutterite technologies in practice in the Gorka Museum, and could try to live the life what the Hutterites lived in the 16th century. |

Tradition in the European Design and Art
|
The main intention of the project is to show the actual existence of the tradition and the effects of folk art on the contemporary art and design in the partner countries. Accordingly we do not intend to organize traditionalist folklore events, but such traveling contemporary art program series that are based on the cultural traditions of the partner countries and at the same time reflect the everyday reality of our world today. First of all we want young artists to participate in the project, because we are interested to know what cultural identity and tradition mean to them, or rather how it appears in their art and their artistic products. We would like to offer a large scope for young artists and inspire the birth of new artistic products.
The planned activities during the program series in each partner countries are travelling exhibitions of the best student works; international workshops and seminars: informal conversation with artists, the cognition and the experience of cultural diversity, direct contact with the diversity of cultural traditions in the contemporary design and art; the presence of international artistic committee and juries; concerts, fashion-shows etc.
We are waiting for the contacts of every partner, who has references in this topic. We are interested in every field of the design and applied art: products, fashion and textile, architecture, industrial design, photography, media-art, etc. |
